You’ve written enough of your manuscript to know,
“Oh, this is actually a book.”
You know it matters.
But now you’re introduced to the rather unglamorous question every writer eventually encounters:
Now what?
*cue steam from your Google search bar*
What the heck is developmental editing?
Does this book really need a copy editor? I crushed my AP English exam…maybe I could do it?
Who formats the book?
How does publishing actually work?
Will my book just magically appear at my local bookstore?
How do I know if my manuscript is even ready?
Somewhere between trying to ChatGPT your way into an industry you have no knowledge of and second-guessing every chapter, the manuscript remains unpublished.
This retreat was created just for you.
What if six months from now…
You’re holding your published book in your hands.
The story that needed to be told finally exists outside of 45 unorganized Google docs. Your name is on the cover. A professionally refined book that—YES—still sounds like you.
The thought ‘one day you’ll be an author’ has turned into today.
In your hands, you hold your published book. One that will inspire, educate, activate and entertain your readers and deep down, you know your story has changed someone’s life for the better. It is the surreal feeling of watching the thing you almost talked yourself out of finally become real.
I get it.
That’s exactly why I created this retreat.
THIS RETREAT AND PUBLISHING EXPERIENCE IS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU
Step fully into your role as an author
01 / Refine Your Manuscript
Go shoulder-to-shoulder with me and my personal developmental editor, Peggy Sue Wells to strengthen your manuscript at every level, from story structure, clarity, pacing, voice, emotional resonance, marketability and readability.
Your book should sound like you and together we shape your manuscript into the strongest, clearest, most compelling version of itself.
02 / Gain Clarity and Confidence
Writing a book is vulnerable work. Publishing one is even more so.
This immersive experience is designed to help you move through that glob of uncertainty with expert guidance, editorial support, and a room full of people who understand exactly what it means to create meaningful work that will live beyond you. That’s pretty cool, if I say so myself.
03 / Build Your Author Platform
A powerful book deserves thoughtful positioning.
After years of working alongside New York Times bestselling authors, I totally understands what transforms a manuscript into a recognizable, marketable author brand. And I also know what doesn’t.
This is about more than publishing a book.
It’s about building your author presence that lasts long after publication day.
04 / Join a Community
Most writers spend years working alone on their books. It's not only isolating, but can be incredibly lonely and confusing.
Does this chapter make sense? Am I the only one that will ever read this?
This retreat changes that.
Writing a book may happen alone.
But becoming an author rarely does.
05 / Immerse in Premium Lodging

06/ Publish Your Book
Finishing a manuscript is one thing.

Instead of spending months trying to piece together freelancers, decipher industry terminology, or figure out what happens next, you’ll receive experienced support through the stages that often keep writers stuck long after the manuscript is finished.

Publishing a book is one thing.
Creating the platform capable of holding your voice, expertise, story, and long-term vision is another.
This retreat is not simply designed to help you write and publish a book. It is designed to help you fully step into your identity as an author with the visibility, confidence, and professional assets to support the next chapter of your work.
I’ve work alongside New York Times bestselling authors and know deep in my bones: the way an author presents themselves matters. The way a story is framed matters. The way readers connect to the person behind the book matters. Let’s make it count.
Throughout the retreat, authors will create a professionally curated media package designed to support long-term visibility, brand growth, speaking opportunities, podcast features, future launches, and ongoing audience connection.
HIGH-LEVEL EDITORIAL SUPPORT
Developmental Editing + Manuscript Refinement
This is where the magic happens.
That subtle shift from “someone with a manuscript” to someone who fully embraces their identity as an author. The identity of someone who has a story worth sharing.
Inside the retreat, you’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder, computer-to-computer with me, Natalee Bloom, and Peggy Sue Wells to refine, strengthen, and elevate your manuscript into the clearest, strongest, most marketable version of itself while still sounding fully like you.
This is the work of taking the book you know matters and giving it the structure, clarity, emotional depth, and positioning it needs to truly land with readers.
Together, we’ll work through:
Story structure and flow
Clarity and readability
Voice and tone refinement
Pacing and narrative momentum
Emotional resonance
Messaging and positioning
Marketability and audience connection
Strengthening key scenes, chapters, and transitions
Identifying gaps, confusion, or overwhelm within the manuscript
Creating a stronger reader experience from beginning to end
Giving your story, expertise, and lived experience the level of care, attention, and professional guidance required to become the book you’ve always known it could be.
(Value: $10,000+)
POST-RETREAT SUPPORT
The retreat may end, but the support does not.
One of the biggest reasons manuscripts never become published books is because authors leave the creative momentum of writing and immediately enter the overwhelming reality of publishing alone.
This experience is intentionally designed to bridge that gap.
Following the retreat, authors continue receiving professional guidance, publishing support, communication, and strategic direction throughout the refinement and publication process to help maintain momentum and move the manuscript toward completion.
This continued support includes:
Publishing guidance and consultation
Ongoing communication support
Final refinement direction
Accountability and momentum support
Formatting and production coordination
Publishing preparation assistance
Strategic feedback during the final publishing stages
Because finishing the manuscript is only part of the process.
Actually becoming a published author requires continued support, clarity, and experienced guidance through the final stages of bringing the book fully into the world.
(Value: $3,000+)

Meet the team
Natalee Bloom
Ghostwriter, Editor, Plot Twister
I used to get in trouble as a kid for reading too much.
Now I’ve ghostwritten more than a dozen books, worked with NYT Best-selling authors, edited more manuscripts than I can count, and somehow turned my lifelong obsession with stories into my actual job.
In short, I won the career lottery.
There is nothing more exciting to me than helping someone take their lived experience and expertise, their big ideas and messy brilliance, and turn it into a book that dramatically changes people’s lives for the better.
I’m the person who gets you from “I think there’s a book here” to “I’m a published author.”I love being a plot twist in someone’s life. I help organize the chaos, shape the vision, and turn everything inside your head and heart into something compelling, impossible to put down, and written in a voice that is unmistakably you.
Because this work is about so much more than writing a book.
It’s about creating something meaningful enough to outlive you.

Your Questions, Answered
-
You can still polish and publish your manuscript with me and my team. I work with authors at all stages of writing and publication.
-
Industry standard for non-fiction work is 40,000-50,000. In the process of editing and refinement, some books will exceed or fall below these metrics.
Authors wanting to publish a book over 55,000 words would need additional support that my team and I can provide.
-
You do.
Rights, royalities and publishing control belong to you, the author.
